Tin Lunch Box

Objective:
MedImmune contacted Visions for promotional gift suggestions to be used as welcome gifts to their newly constructed corporate headquarters.   The concept was to have something on each person’s desk when they arrive on the first day in the new building that would excite them about the move.

Strategy and Execution:
The idea of a first day at school, or in this case, the first day in a new building was executed using a tin lunch box similar to the type that you would have used in school a few years ago.  Various products were inserted into the lunch box, along with a printed note to the employees about how the items could be used in their new environment.  For example…the compass was to find their way in the new building, the pen was to write down where you parked, and the carabiner was to “swing into action”, etc.  The entire package was done in blue, black, and white to go along with the MedImmune logo colors, and to create a cohesive message for the employees.

Results:
What fun this project turned out to be!  Not only for the employees, but also for the employee communications department, and for Visions!  Everyone loved having “goodies” on their desk when they arrived, and appreciated the knowledge that the management team understood how stressful a big move like this was for everyone.
